Have you ever had one of those weeks where you are so glad it is over? This sums up our week. I am so happy it is Friday and we survived the week.
Kiddo has had an attitude that makes me scared of the teenage years this week. Not sure what is going on, he is not sleeping well and his allergies have been acting up, I hope this is the problem. I hope it is not the beginning of some 9 year old phase. He has been full of attitude, quick to get frustrated, not listening etc. basically a rough week for everybody.
We have a rule no videos games or computer fun until school is done. He broke that rule twice this week. So I am doing something I saw on pinterest once he earns the computer and media player back.
He is going to have to earn the right to play minecraft, watch videos etc. after school work is finished. We are pretty relaxed here but rules are rules and they must be followed. I hope this solves this issue before it becomes a real issue. Plus I think it is a great idea to get chores done. I will let you know how it goes next once he gets his privileges back.
School this week was a success just to finish our work this week. He is happy to back doing Story of the World. I am not sure what I will do for history next year. We might do free reading and a geography program I think it would be great to spend a whole year on just geography. We started division in math this week, it took him awhile but he is starting to get it. He is loving chemistry. This weekend we are going to work on conversions and different measurements, I think his Dad is liking it as much as Kiddo is. Kiddo likes the science, his Dad likes showing him the math.
This weekend I am going to start redoing the office/craft room. Every since we took it apart to make the school room in the dining room it looks like a tornado went through there and I have avoided working on it long enough. It will house most of school books, reading books, and crafts. I am trying to keep the school room neat with only current curriculum in there since it is the first thing you see when you walk in the house.
